![]() Every new level brings something entirely new to the table, and by the end of the game, you’ll have mastered dozens of different mechanics.Įach of the four worlds ends with a screen-filling boss fight. The trademark saw blades make their triumphant return, but there are also fans that blow you across levels, gravity shifting areas, and even metal boxes you can shove about the stage. ![]() Throughout the few hours it takes to rescue Nugget, there’s no shortage of new obstacles put in our meaty mate’s path. There’s generally one set path to take to make it through a stage, but sometimes you’ll need to follow paths to switches or bounce backwards and forwards down a corridor to slowly break down a wall. There is a lot of verticality thanks to Meat Boy’s trademark wall jumping, and you can even change direction by bouncing off a hard surface. Unlike a lot of auto-runners, stages aren’t straight lines to the goal. If you’re flying through the air too fast, a quick hold of the duck button will send you plummeting back to the safety of the ground. Ducking isn’t just handy for dodging saw blades. Jumping is fairly self-explanatory, and when in midair dashing can give you some extra momentum as well as smashing walls and enemies. There are only two buttons you need to worry about as you hunt down Dr Fetus, the jump/dash button and the duck button. Meat Boy runs automatically, so your job is to jump, duck, and dash your way around obstacles. The main difference between Super Meat Boy Forever and its predecessor is the fact that you no longer control your movement. An unsuspecting Nugget is the perfect target for his villainous plans, and one kidnapping later you’re flung into an auto-running rescue mission. The dastardly unborn medical practitioner is back, and is hellbent on revenge. The birth of their adorable new baby Nugget is keeping them busy, but this idyllic family life wasn’t made to last. Since thwarting the evil Dr Fetus, Meat Boy and Bandage Girl have had an eventful few years. Now ten years later, our meaty hero is back in an all-new adventure with Super Meat Boy Forever. With exceptional controls and often evil level design, Super Meat Boy was featured on plenty of GOTY lists and loved by thousands upon thousands. Team Meat released Super Meat Boy in October of that year and changed 2D platforming forever. Titles like Braid and Castle Crashers had stormed into gamers’ hearts thanks to the Xbox Summer of Arcade, and games made by a handful of developers were getting more attention than ever. Back in 2010, indie gaming was really starting to take off.

Towards the end of 1985, Sideswipe, impersonating himself as the Stunticon Breakdown, is among the team of five Autobots who disguised themselves as the Stunticons. Sideswipe, using his piston-like arms, helped Brawn remove the rock wall and found a cave full of dinosaur bones, the discovery of which would lead to the development of the Dinobots. When investigating tremors that were shaking the Autobot base, Ironhide's scanner found some interesting objects inside a rock wall. When antimatter-fueled Decepticons attacked the Ark on one occasion in the episode "Roll for It", Sideswipe and Sunstreaker took to the air to battle with the incoming seeker jets, in a rambunctious, if ultimately ineffective, display of " jet judo." Sideswipe and Sunstreaker often operated together. Throughout Seasons 1 and 2, Sideswipe was voiced by Michael Bell. Sideswipe loaned Optimus Prime the use of his rocket pack when the Decepticons nearly escaped from Earth with a starship full of energon. He awakened along with his fellow Transformers in 1984, with both he and his brother being reformatted into Lamborghini sports cars. Sideswipe was part of the initial crew of Autobots aboard the Ark when it crash-landed on Earth four million years ago. Dreamwave comics artist Pat Lee says his favorite Transformer is Sideswipe. In 1984 CBC's The Journal did a report on how some people considered Transformers like Sideswipe and other war toys too violent for children. Because of his jetpack, Sideswipe was one of few G1 Autobots with the ability to fly and capacity for space flight. Sideswipe transformed into a red Lamborghini Countach, while his brother, Sunstreaker, transformed into a yellow Lamborghini Countach. He is almost as skilled as his twin brother Sunstreaker in combat, but is less ruthless. Sideswipe (sometimes 'Agujero' in Mexico, Lambor in Japan, Frérot Québec, Freccia (meaning "arrow") in Italy, Csatár (meaning "striker") in Hungary) is described in his tech file as a brave but often rash warrior. 4 Transformers: Timelines (Shattered Glass).Because of trademark restrictions, toys of the character are sometimes marketed as Side Swipe. For this reason, use controlled amount of cornstarch powder. If you expect that you will add the cornstarch until it is sufficiently thick, you may end up with a rude shock as the sauce may end up becoming a paste. Don’t forget that the actual thickening occurs when the cornstarch is heated. Most people usually underestimate the required content when preparing the sauce. However, you must watch out on the use of cornstarch. Apart from that, white and brown sugar also caramelize, and in the process make the sauce thicker. Adding the cornstarch to the other ingredients and heating the pot for a while does the trick when it comes to getting a more desirable consistency. Not only did the Macedonian army easily crush the Thebian rebellion, says Wrightson, “but Alexander razed Thebes to the ground and sold the entire city into slavery, except for one house owned by the descendants of his favorite poet.” Alexander Used Political Campaigns to Rule GreeceĪlways the savvy strategist, Alexander knew that he couldn’t rule the Greek mainland by fear and brute force alone. Immediately after Alexander was made king, Thebes rose up to challenge his authority-a big mistake. The Greek city-states of Athens and Thebes weren’t thrilled to be under the thumb of “barbarian” kings, particularly since it infringed on their democratic ideals. But before Alexander could push into Persia, he had to take care of business back home. “As soon as Alexander came to the throne, he openly stated that he would carry on his father’s plans,” says Graham Wrightson, a history professor at South Dakota State University and author of Combined Arms Warfare in Ancient Greece. But soon after crossing the Hellespont into Persian territory, Philip was assassinated, making young Alexander the new king and commander-in-chief of the Macedonian forces. With the Greek mainland subdued under Macedonian rule, Philip turned his well-oiled army East toward the Persian Empire, a far greater prize. The battle served as a coming-out party for 18-year-old Alexander, who bravely led the Macedonian cavalry charge that broke through the Athenian ranks and secured victory for the upstart kingdom. and defeated an all-star alliance of Athens and Thebes at the Battle of Chaeronea. Weaponry also got an upgrade under Philip. The highest positions were in the Royal Companion Cavalry, the king’s own personal squadron, and in the Royal Hypaspists, an elite 500-man infantry unit that surrounded the king in battle.
